I made a
miniature miniature table
for a napoleonic battle, and I really like it. So here are two more
with different genres of wargame. If I make up a few more, I might be
able to hold a miniature wargame convention in miniature.
Like the other one, this starts with an earphone case. I am going for a
nautical game, so I am making a blue "map" to go on top of the table.
So here it is with the blue ocean glued down.
This is also the best time to do a size check, so we have the Cheetah
figure there. Yeah, yeah ... cats and water. Regardless, it looks
to be a decent height for a standing figure. If I needted to raise it
or lower it, now would have been the right time.
I've glued some talus down to be islands.
I also added a couple small pieces on the sides of the table. These will
be dice and start the "side clutter" of the table. The rolled up strip
of paper scrap will be cut to make some tape rulers for the players.
Flock on top of the talus.
Once the glue for the flock dries, I just tip them and get rid of the excess.
The rulers are on the table now, and I have a bottle, the start of a six-pack,
and some type of bowl-shaped object with little shapes in it...
Is that a bowl of Cheetos? On the table? Sacrelige!
Also, I added a few pirate ships. The female player is the Governor's daughter
and the male player is a software pirate.
Same basic table, but this one is all dark with white scars all over it.
Skipping ahead, the white gets yellow and red ink to make a postapocalyptic
volcano terrain.
I added a big strructure to attack (or defend) from a leftover MechWarrior
mech bit. Red and blue talus to be the red and blue minis, just like the
Napoleonic table. And a HeroClix Antman, just the size to be some type of
titan, kaiju, or giant robot.
