Vampires

The old crowd here. You would think this would cover it, but too much is not enough. We're not just looking for volume, but also there are a few of my faves missing from the set. So ...

The first necessary being Marceline the Vampire Queen!
Four versions? Well, anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Also, I wanted to see how these different versions worked out. I like the different poses.
After painting and before adding the basses, I liked Boom Boom from the X-Men (the figure on the left) the best, so I gave her the axe made from GW SM axes. The rest are the standard couple pieces of card guitar.

Speaing of guitars, these two generic vampires got an upgrade. They could be a backing band for Marceline, or just regular rockers in lots of makeup.
The only mod to the figure was to cut the left arm at the elbow and glue it back on up instead of down.
It's easier to see the two pieces of thin card for the guitar in this shot. Just pick a body shape, then make a neck. Generally, I cut the neck, then end up trimming it down to the appropriate size. For me, it's too small for a template or jig. Just cut the neck ... too thick ... slice it down with scissors ... still too big ... again ... just right.

I was just vamping out when I did the last six, so, from left to right:

  • DC Comic's Obsidian - nice "gonna get you" rage pose
  • Marvel Fantastic Four villian Space Phantom - just a fleshy repaint
  • Dr. Strange gone undead. With a gun. Why not?
  • Blacula!
  • Marvel's Loki undeadded
  • Nananananananana ... Bat-Vampire
  • The Scarlet Witch, slightly paler than usual
  • Eddie Murphy from A Vampire in Brooklyn. Great flick!
  • Generic Vampire #11 - I had a fistfull of these waiting to be painted

And, It couldn't be vampire conversions with a not-a-vampire figure, could it?
She Hulk as a base figure makes the Bride of Frankenstein taller and bulkier than most other civilian figures. The dress was simple enough to add to the spandex clad figure with Knedatite, since it is a simple dress. Same with the Really Tall Hair For Some Reason.
